Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activities Director to join our team. As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating engaging activities for our senior residents in an assisted living and memory care setting. Your role will involve creating a stimulating environment that promotes social interaction, physical well-being, and emotional support.

Duties:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that meets the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of our senior residents
- Plan and organize a variety of recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities such as games, crafts, music therapy, exercise classes, outings, and special events
- Collaborate with the care team to assess residents' individual needs and preferences to tailor activities accordingly
- Coordinate transportation arrangements for outings and appointments
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents during all activities
- Provide guidance and support to staff members assisting with activity programs

Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members
- Strong event planning and organizational skills to coordinate a diverse range of activities
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices to address the emotional needs of seniors
- Experience in senior care or assisted living settings preferred
- Familiarity with memory care and dementia care best practices
- Understanding of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and aging issues counseling
